The winner, Lucky Robin (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Sedgefield on 26 August 2021, where the gelding finished ninth of ten, beaten by 17½ lengths.
Brian Ellison’s explanation that Lucky Robin (IRE) had benefitted from its previous run having had a short break and a wind operation was noted.
Lucky Robin (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Theo Gillard reported that Dear Sire (FR), placed fifth, hung left; the Veterinary Officer reported that Dear Sire (FR) returned lame on its right fore.
