The Stewards interviewed B.M. Coen, rider of Ideal Pal, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider to be in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his previous record into account suspended him for 6 race days in accordance with the provisions of Reg.10.6(a)(fourth offence)
The Stewards informed Mrs.A.M.O'Shea, trainer that Golden Eye Diamond (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
