The winner, Kosasiempre (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chepstow on 13 April 2024 where the mare was pulled up on Good to Soft, Soft in places going.
Stuart Edmunds’ explanation that Kosasiempre (FR) had appreciated the quicker ground conditions, officially described as Good on this occasion was noted.
The mare was routine tested.
An enquiry was held to consider interference after jumping the final hurdle when Asa (FR), placed second, ridden by Joe Williamson, interfered with Gine Sacre (FR), unplaced, ridden by Henry Brooke.
Williamson was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed to the rail without timely correction when insufficiently clear of Gine Sacre (FR), causing Brooke to take a slight check.
Following the race, James Best reported that Den The Diva (GB), which was pulled up, hung left-handed throughout.
