Leaving the stalls, Penny Ghent (GB), unplaced, jumped very awkwardly and shifted right-handed inconveniencing Al Khawaneej Spirt (IRE), placed third, when carrying that colt notably off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that there was no riding offence involved.
The Stewards noted that approximately 2½ furlongs out, Bay Of Hope (IRE), unplaced, hung left and became unbalanced after hitting the running rail but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that there was no other horse or rider involved.
Following the race, Kevin Stott reported that Al Khawaneej Spirt (IRE), placed third, hung slightly left- handed in the home straight.
