The dreadful run of odds-on shots in Ireland continued with OUR MATTI getting turned-over here. There didn?t appear to be any real excuse for him either as Ruby Walsh wasn?t happy from some way out. He rallied a bit close home but that may have been more to do with the winner, STORM PLAN, coming to the end of her stamina (in what seemed to be very testing ground).

STORM PLAN deserves credit for being able to give of her best so soon after finding Grancore Girl too good, when fourth in a Limerick mares bumper on Saturday. From the family of Danoli, she?ll have no trouble winning more races on this evidence.

On form, OUR MATTI should have been able to get past a rival like the length victor and there will be those that will give him another chance, though three to one on backers here will be less forgiving. He is a chaser in the making anyway.

Winning pointer SANDYZAR?S proximity doesn?t put the best of contexts on the form but he has plenty of experience and first time blinkers obviously sparked some extra life from him. He last competed over fences from a mark of 87 (in cheek-pieces then) and perhaps an opening in that sphere can be found for him at some stage.

BALLYMAHON, a place behind Storm Plan last time, will surely find his best hope in handicap-company. SCOTTISH HIGHLAND did better than when returning from an absence last time. LISSELANDOTCOM was never seen with a chance. Reverting to hurdling after a couple of outings over fences, he is one to monitor. Pace-setting, I WILL YA, the beneficiary of Trafford Lad?s last fence fall in a point-to-point and banned under the non-triers rule at Navan in November, is almost certainly better than this.
