that's three in-a-row over hurdles for him now. He was lame after Killarney and was very lame for three or four days after that and I actually thought he was gone. I nursed him back and he hadn't done any work until now, that was his first bit. That should set him up for Sunday hopefully and he'll come back for the 0-123 (handicap hurdle). David said he got a little bit tired after the last but I'd expect that out of him. He missed a full week after Killarney, and we were only trotting him the week after that. We had to come here, they all wanted him to come here so I had no choice! He loves this place. We will see how he is in the morning and hopefully he'll back on Sunday. N Dooly, trainer

J.S. McGarvey, rider of Cradle Mountain, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount refused to race. The Stewards considered the behaviour of Cradle Mountain trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien when refusing to start after a fair start had been affected. The Stewards advised Joseph Patrick O'Brien through his representative that a repetition of this behaviour could render the animal liable to suspension.

A novice hurdle race for four yrs old and upwards which at entry are rated 116 or less over hurdles
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 7lb; 5-y-o and up 10st 12lb
Penalties - Performances before 4th August for every 1lb above the rating of 106 1lb extra; On or after 4th August for each hurdle race won 4lb extra; Horses that have not run three times over hurdles and/or do not have a published handicap hurdle rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their performances are rated 116 or less.
