He improved a lot from the last day. He was working so easy at home that he never came off the bridle. That might have caught him out a bit on his debut. When I asked him today he did it instantly. He's a better ground horse and today was the plan. I'm not sure where he goes next,. W P Mullins, trainer

Weights - 4-y-o 11st 3lb; 5, 6 & 7-y-o 11st 7lb; Mares allowed 7lb
Penalties - Winner of an I.N.H. flat race or a National Hunt flat race 7lb extra; Of two such races 10lb extra
Riders - Qualified under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 1st October) may also ride in this race.
