All My Love (IRE), drawn 3, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started, thereby enabling the mare to break quickly.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when Born Leader (FR), placed second, ridden by Georgia Dobie, interfered with Elhafei (USA), placed seventh, ridden by Ray Dawson, who in turn interfered with the winner, Beat The Heat (GB), ridden by Rhiain Ingram.
Dobie was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she had allowed her mount to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Elhafei (USA), tightening Dawson for room, which in turn caused Ingram to be hampered.
Inside the final furlong, COUNTRY’N’WESTERN (FR), placed sixth, hung left-handed carrying Elhafei (USA), placed seventh, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of COUNTRY’N’WESTERN (FR).
