Permission was given for Equiano Springs (GB) to go early to post.
The Starter reported that Equiano Springs (GB) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
Tom Tate was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
On the run to the line, Zumurud (IRE), placed third, raced in restricted room when awkwardly positioned between Highly Sprung (IRE), placed second, which edged slightly left-handed and the winner, Corinthia Knight (IRE), which hung right-handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that there was no riding offence involved, nor had it improved either horse's placing.
Following the race, Dougie Costello reported that MARK’S CHOICE (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
