An Equine Welfare Integrity Officer (EWIO) reported he had found a syringe of TWYDIL Stomacare, which appeared to be unused, outside the box of MIN TIKY (IRE), trained by Mark Bradstock. The EWIO, the trainer and the Veterinary Officer were interviewed. The trainer explained that the substance was not one he used on a regular basis and he was unsure as to how the syringe had come to be outside the mare's box. However, he did not dispute the fact that the substance must have been brought into the yard by his employee as there was no other explanation for it being there. Being satisfied that the mare had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of racing, the Stewards allowed MIN TIKY (IRE) to run. The Stewards routine tested MIN TIKY (IRE) and Bradstock's runner from race 5, ROBERT'S STAR (IRE) They further confiscated the substance and informed Bradstock that it may be sent for analysis. The matter was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.

The representative of Colin Tizzard reported that KALARIKA (IRE), which started favourite and was pulled up, was unsuited by the track which was too sharp for the filly; KALARIKA (IRE) was routine tested.
