CHASE (CLASS 5) Peter Coleman, the rider of The Darley Lama (IRE), had been unseated after the first fence, but it was found that the incident was caused by Coleman's saddle slipping causing him to be unseated.
Being satisfied that Coleman's girth was checked at the start, no further action was taken.
The Stewards noted that Jack Hogan, the rider of Light Bulb, placed sixth, appeared to strike the filly down the shoulder with his reins having dropped his whip.
Hogan was reminded of his responsibility under Rule (D)2 that he should not strike a horse in any way except for proper use of the whip whilst riding.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Cage Of Fear (IRE), placed fifth, had lost its left- hind shoe.
