The Stewards interviewed L.A. McKenna, rider of Weather Watch, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that L.A. McKenna was in breach of Regulations 10.3 (f), in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and 10.4, in that he used his whip without giving his mount time to respond, and having considered his record in this regard suspended him for 2 racedays

The Stewards received a report from Ms Colleen Murphy , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that L.A. McKenna , rider of Weather Watch , weighed in at 1.5 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that L.A. McKenna was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record in this regard suspended him for 1 raceday.

An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards rated 80-123
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 4lb extra for each hurdle race won.
