It probably worked out workmanlike for his price, he was very short. I'll have to look at another half mile for him and maybe going right-handed. He seemed to be leaning to the right, so a novice hurdle right-handed would be the obvious thing to do. Sometimes you don't get right-handed and have to go left-handed, we'll take what we get. It's a big open straight here in Naas, facing up there, but he got the job done and that's the important thing.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jersey Des Brosses (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Royal Noble, ridden by J.B. Foley, and trained by Michael G. Cleary. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. J.B. Foley, stated that his instructions were to drop him out and settle him. He stated that his horse ran away with him on the way to the start. In the race he was running away with him after two hurdles and was very free. His jumping was generally ok but he galloped into the last hurdle. At the third hurdle he ran into a gap. After his previous run he suggested the horse might benefit from a hood. Michael G. Cleary, stated that this horse was very keen the last day. He should have put a hood on him. He felt the horse burnt himself out by pulling so hard. He was satisfied with the ride given. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Royal Noble was post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations offered with regard to the running and riding. They did however find J.B. Foley in breach of Rule 213 by failing to report something which may have affected the running of his horse and having taken his clean record in this regard into account, suspended him for one race day.
