He has been knocking on the door along time. I'd say the softening of the ground helped as he just stays galloping,. He got a great ride from Shane. The Stewards interviewed S.A. Shorthall, rider of Whoyakodding (GB), concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that S.A. Shorthall was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays.

An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards rated 80-95
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each hurdle race won.
Riders - Confined to Professional who have not lost their right to claim the allowance under Rule 52 (iii) Allowances (up to and including 5th September) who have not ridden the winners of 25 *races allowed 4lb who have not ridden the winners of 40 *races allowed 2lb These allowances are not cumulative and no allowance to riders under Rule 52 (iii) may be claimed.
