Permission was given for MIMKYU, Poptronic (GB), Peripatetic (GB) and Wickywickywheels (IRE) to all wear a red hood to post.
Prior to this race, the representative of John and Thady Godsen was asked to explain the reason why they were running Mimikyu (GB) here at Haydock on going described as Good to Firm, having declared the filly a non-runner at Haydock on the 10 June 2023 on ground with the same official description.
The representative stated that having walked the track this morning and the Going only changing to Good to Firm this morning, found the track to have a better covering of grass and the outer course, in their opinion, had more give in it on this occasion.
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Sea Silk Road (IRE), placed second, hung left- handed inside the final furlong.
