Leaving the stalls, the winner, Jazzy Angel (GB), jumped right-handed, moving Morindoo (GB), unplaced, off its intended line, which in turn inconvenienced Montecristo Gold (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Jazzy Angel (GB).

Rounding the first bend, Carabella (GB), placed fifth, cornered awkwardly and hung right-handed becoming awkwardly placed close to the heels of the winner, Jazzy Angel (GB), resulting in its rider taking a check, which in turn hampered Moreginplease (GB), placed fourth, which was following, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong, involving the winner Jazzy Angel (GB), ridden by Hayley Turner and Dream Selection (GB), placed second, ridden by Pierre-Louis Jamin.

After hearing evidence from both riders and viewing recordings of the incident, it was established that approaching the half furlong marker Jazzy Angel (GB) had shifted approximately 1½ horse widths to the left under a right-handed drive, at the same time as Dream Selection (GB) had shifted approximately 1½ horse widths to its right under a right-handed drive, resulting in the two bumping and both becoming unbalanced.

The Stewards noted that both parties were equally responsible for their contributions towards the interference, and appeared to suffer similar losses of ground and momentum.

It was considered that if anything Jazzy Angel (GB) appeared to come out of the incident slightly further behind Dream Selection (GB) than it was prior, before closing that filly down all the way to the line to prevail by a nose margin.

The Stewards therefore were unable to be satisfied that had the interference not occurred Dream Selection (GB) would have finished in front of Jazzy Angel (GB) and ordered the placings to remain unaltered.

Both Turner and Jamin were cautioned for careless riding as they allowed their mounts to drift left and right respectively off their intended lines, without sufficient or timely correction, thereby causing interference to each other.

Following the race, Callum Shepherd reported that Glen Heste (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed, off the home bend; and Ross Coakley reported that Montecristo Gold (GB), unplaced, was slowly away.
