Bolger, trainer, ?65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to McGuigan, prior to entering the parade ring. The Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Los Barbados, winner, as compared with its most recent run at Naas on 13th May where he finished 6th of 10 runners, beaten approx. 12 lengths. A representative of the trainer reported that the application of first time blinkers and tongue-tie may have brought about any apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
