W.J. Lee, rider of Keke (GB), trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount changed legs from one and a half furlongs down resulting in him making slight contact with the horse next to him
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two furlongs involving Mehmar, ridden by D
McMonagle, unplaced, Apache Outlaw, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed fifth, Emerald Harmony, ridden by R.M Mulligan, placed fourth, and Sporting Hero (GB), ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, where it appeared Sporting Hero had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. Joyce stated that it got tight from both sides
Adam Caffrey stated that he kept a straight line. D. McMonagle stated that when the horse on his inner moves slightly out, his mount replicated this action. R.M. Mulligan stated that his mount moved slightly right but he corrected him immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the retreating of Sturlasson, ridden by G.F. Carroll where it appeared S. Foley had to sit on Arnhem. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards that at entry have run three or more times under any Rules of Racing, at least one of those runs having been on or after 1st August, 2023 (100 = 10st)
