Be Proud (IRE), drawn 3, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate after the start had been affected and did not gain an advantage.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
The winner, Be Proud (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Hamilton Park, on 02 June 2024, where the gelding finished fifteenth of fifteen, beaten by 14½ lengths.
Jim Goldie’s explanation that the gelding benefitted from a drop in grade from a Class 2 to a Class 5, was noted.
