Prior to this race, an enquiry was held with the representative of Brian Meehan, the trainer of Dubai Instinct (GB), into the reasons why they were running the colt here at Nottingham on going officially described as Good to Firm, Good in places, having been declared a non-runner at Nottingham on 10 April 2019 on going also officially described as Good to Firm, Good in places.
The trainer’s representative stated that following its run at Doncaster, where the rider expressed concerns over running the colt on fast ground, the colt has since been worked at home in quick conditions and therefore they are happy for Dubai Instinct (GB) to take its chance today.
