Permission was given for Menin Gate (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 3½ furlongs out involving Ruskin Red (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Miss Sophie Smith, and Liberated Lad (GB), unplaced, ridden by Mr Josh Agar.
Smith was suspended for 2 days for careless riding, on dates to be notified to her by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, as she allowed her horse to drift left-handed towards the bend when not sufficiently clear of Liberated Lad (GB) causing Agar to have to take a check off heels.
Approaching 3 furlongs out, Ruskin Red (IRE), unplaced, lugged left-handed at the same time as Point Of Honour (IRE), unplaced, edged right-handed causing the rider of Owens Lad (GB), placed third, to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Mr Josh Agar reported that Liberated Lad (GB), which started favourite and finished unplaced, suffered interference approximately 3½ furlongs out.
Mr Eireann Cagney reported that Penelopeblueyes (IRE), unplaced, weakened quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post- race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
