An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference a furlong out involving the winner, Real Terms (GB), ridden by Brandon Wilkie and Destinado (GB), placed second, ridden by Joe Leavy.
Being 7lb claiming apprentices, both riders were offered accompaniment but declined.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Real Terms (GB)’ placing as despite Destinado (GB) receiving a small bump and being carried marginally off its intended line, it had lost no momentum and was always being held by Real Terms (GB) to be beaten by a head at the line.
The Stewards therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
Wilkie was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction.
Following the race, Mia Nicholls reported that Zillion (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed.
