The Stewards interviewed Mr N. Gault, rider of Lisnagreggan, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. N. Gault was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (c) in that he used his whip unnecessarily after achieving his maximum placing, and 10.3 (f) in that he used his whip with excessive force. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Mr N. Gault for 3 racedays.
A steeplechase for Certified Hunters five yrs old and upwards that have not won more than one Steeplechase confined to Certified Hunters and that have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase in Ireland or in a Point-to- Point Steeplechase in Ireland between 26th September, 2015 and 12th March, 2019
