The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Plinth, ridden by N.P
Madden, placed second, Seskin Flyer, ridden by S.F. O'Keeffe, placed third and Just A Normal Day, ridden by C.J
Orr, placed first, where it appeared that Seskin Flyer ran short of room and stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that on the balance of probabilities the interference did not effect the placings and they therefore made no alteration. The Stewards were, however, satisfied that C.J. Orr was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard suspended him for 2 racedays
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Shanpallas trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly at times
