Passing the 3-furlong marker, Inshad (IRE), placed second, moved slightly right-handed taking Bright Era (IRE), placed third, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Inshad (IRE).
The winner, Liricist (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Brighton on 08 August 2024 where the colt finished last of four runners, beaten by 18¾ lengths.
It was noted that Tony Newcombe could offer no explanation for Liricist (IRE)’s improved form on this occasion.
The colt was routine tested.
Following the race, Kieran O’Neill reported that Perfect Sight (GB), unplaced, was never travelling.
