Permission was given for Bhubezi (GB) to be mounted on the chute and go early to post.
Further permission was given for Mummy's Boy (GB) and Heatherdown Hero (GB) to both wear a red hood to post.
English Spirit (GB) originally entered the wrong stall.
Being satisfied that the rider was not at fault and that the stalls handler had originally put English Spirit (GB) into the wrong stall riderless before being corrected, no further action was taken.
The Starter reported that Magnetised (GB) was unruly in stalls and withdrawn.
David Simcock was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
The winner, Pimlico (IRE), appeared to show improvement in form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 17 June 2022, where the gelding finished sixth of eight, beaten 12 lengths.
Hilal Kobeissi’s explanation that Pimlico (IRE) was suited by being able to dominate on this occasion was noted.
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that English Spirit (GB), placed third, ran too freely and hung right-handed and Kieran Shoemark reported that Heatherdown Hero (GB), placed sixth, ran too freely.
