The Raceday Stewards interviewed P. Hanlon, rider of Watch The Weather (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, P. Hanlon stated that he felt that his first strike did not make contact with his mount. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P. Hanlon was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (fourth offence), they suspended him for 16 racedays

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.P. Millar, rider of Air Drop, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. C.P. Miller stated that he was trying to rotate his whip into a forehand position and struck his boot in doing so. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C.P Miller was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (fourth offence), they suspended him for 16 racedays

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Prairie Dancer, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Joseph Patrick O'Brien reported that his charge appreciated the small field today and got into a better rhythm which may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Prairie Dancer, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C. Stone-Walsh was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) (frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for three racedays.
