Permission was given for Scots Sonnet (GB) to wear a red hood to the start and for Treasured Company (IRE) to go early to post.
Gypsy Traveller (GB) unseated its rider on the way to post and cantered loose for a short while.
Having been examined by the doctor and Veterinary Surgeon at the start, both the rider and gelding were deemed fit to race.
The Starter reported that Gypsy Traveller (GB) was unruly behind the stalls and withdrawn.

Mike Smith was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Gypsy Traveller (GB) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
The Starter reported that AIDEN’S REWARD (IRE) refused to enter stalls.
Ben Haslam was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Following the race, Kevin Stott reported that Scots Sonnet (GB), unplaced, fly-leapt as the stalls opened, losing several lengths.
