An enquiry was held to consider why Adrian Nicholls, was running The Stalking Moon (IRE) here at Leicester on going described as Good to Firm (Good in places), having declared the mare a non-runner at Carlisle on 29 August 2019 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer’s representative stated that in their opinion the ground at Carlisle was quicker than described.
Having walked the track this morning after some overnight rain they were satisfied that there was sufficient ease in the ground and were therefore happy for The Stalking Moon (IRE) to take its chance today.
Club Tropicana (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
The Starter reported that Lucky Turn (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 16.
