Waterfall (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.

The Starter reported that Whistler Bowl (GB) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn.

The representative of Gary Moore was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.

As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Whistler Bowl (GB) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the filly would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line when the winner, Percy's Prince (GB), ridden by Luke Morris, interfered with Nordano (GER), placed second, ridden by Fergus Sweeney.

The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Percy's Prince (GB)’s placing as Nordano (GER) appeared to lose little momentum as a result of the interference, with contact between the two runners occurring close to the line and the official winning distance a neck.

Morris was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed for several strides without sufficient correction.

Fergus Sweeney, the rider of Nordano (GER), placed second, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip in the incorrect place on the run to the line.

Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Cochise (GB), which started favourite and finished fourth, hung right-handed.

George Wood reported that Riverina (GB), placed eighth, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
