The Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend entering the back straight involving Followme Followyou, ridden by C.T. Keane, Clifftop (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes and Small Town Boy, ridden by S. Foley, where it appeared that Clifftop got tight for room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference was accidental in nature and they therefore took no further action
C.D. Hayes, rider of Clifftop (GB) trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount received pressure on the bend going into the back straight and clipped a heel
S. Foley, rider of Small Town Boy trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen for the first half mile
James J. Doyle, rider of Ifyouhaveaminute trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly in this race.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards rated 45-65
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight is 8st 6lbs
