Permission was given for Savannah Smiles (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood.
Leaving the stalls, Liosa (IRE), placed second, jumped awkwardly and shifted right-handed giving a bump to the hindquarters of Savannah Smiles (IRE), placed fifth, which became unbalanced as a result, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Liosa (IRE).
Mikkel Mortensen, the rider of Coast (GB), drawn 9, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Mortensen was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Mortensen was suspended for 1 day.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 4½ furlongs out involving Kangaroo (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Grace McEntee and Savannah Smiles (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Callum Hutchinson.
McEntee was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she moved left-handed, when insufficiently clear, resulting in Hutchinson having to take a check on Savannah Smiles (IRE).
Following the race, Darragh Keenan reported that Coolagh Magic (GB), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls and Callum Hutchinson reported that Savannah Smiles (IRE), placed fifth, suffered interference approaching 4½ furlongs out.
