We couldn't believe the price because he was a little bit unlucky the last time and he won the time before. He's an old boy and he probably knows more about the game than probably me and Keithen as well!. He's a lovely horse, he's a real happy little horse. When he's in that vein of form, he's good. A mile is perfect for him and he obviously likes it up here. I have to say Chris Hayes told me to put the cheekpieces back on him, so I owe him a little thank you. It is great to win with these fun horses.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident just after the turn into the straight involving Trishuli River, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fourth and Kudbegood, ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. Joyce stated that he went for a gap. J.A. Powell stated that he went for the same gap but accepted that interference occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.A. Powell to be in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard (fourth offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for twelve days.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards rated 47-65
