The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sicario, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

R.P. Whelan, rider of Sicario trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly

The Stewards requested a report from Conor O'Dwyer, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Trump Card, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Navan on the 28th August where he finished thirteenth of twenty runners. Conor O'Dwyer reported that his charge wore cheek pieces for the first time at Navan but was slowly away in a large field of runners and failed to fight to get into the race whereas today with the cheek pieces applied again, his charge, under instruction, jumped off and raced wide which appeared to have the desired affect for the improved performance. He further added that he had previously won off a rating of 68 but today ran off a rating of 51. An extended handicap for three years old and upwards rated 45-65
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
