Private Ryan lands Bishopscourt Cup
That's brilliant. We had him as a young horse and we sold him,. He appeared in Doncaster last year, he had never raced for Nicky Henderson as the syndicate fell out, and Henry (Chamney), a local farmer, was looking for something for this race. By luck we stumbled across this lad and he fitted the bill well so it all worked out. It's like a dream come true for this man, he'll absolutely love this. You even see it here yesterday, young Barry Walsh rides out for me and he won the La Touche. It's all about about getting a kick and it's absolutely brilliant when it works. He won the trial well here but he got a cut the next day he ran. There was a little bit of a rush on and I'd like to thank Michael Murphy, who we call Mouse. He looked after him every day, it's 47 days he was telling me, and we're over the moon to pull it off. It's absolutely magic. There is a big hunters chase in Downpatrick in a few weeks, with big prize-money. If he qualifies for that we'll go for that.

Connell & O'Sullivan get on festival scoresheet
All his form was on soft ground and I wouldn't have liked to run him on Wednesday on the rattling ground,. Lets Go Champ was second to him in Limerick and he won the equivalent race on Wednesday so the form was there in the book. He's been progressing away all season. He won his handicap in Galway and he got in off 131 which was a nice weight. His jumping was super and just kept taking him there without using any petrol. The first two pulled well clear. That will be his last run of the year. I want to give him a break as he's had five runs now. He's only seven and he could be a Munster National horse or one for the Paddy Power.

Brides Hill makes it four from four for the season
She was very good. I was concerned as I thought the ground was gone for her to be honest,. She was foot perfect, she has had issues with her jumping in the past but she's become very good now. Keith has done a lot of schooling with her and it's unfortunate he can't be on her but Sean does a lot of work with these horses too and it's nice to see him getting a day. At Cheltenham we took her out because of the ground but isn't it great to win here. She's a talented mare. The ground at Cheltenham this year was a bit of an extreme and it wouldn't have worked. I'm glad we didn't run her because we wouldn't be here if we did. It's been a brilliant season. All the horses are running great and that was my 70th jumps winner for the season. It's fantastic, 62 was my best, and that was the target.

O'Connor excels again aboard Its On The Line
Derek came back in and said there's not much point in instructions as he's a unique animal,. He doesn't make life easy but Derek has the trick to him. Early doors it wasn't great as Derek had to make a move to get him off the inside and get him travelling. I was very happy the whole way around until the third last and there was a bit of a panic when Lifetime Ambition went on. Once he got over the second last I was always fairly confident he was going to get him back. He's very well named, that's not the first occasion he's done that. He's just a horse that you have to hold his hand and bring him along, he's got a big engine. We were putting cheekpieces on trying to keep him in races and help him to travel but he needs to see everything, the more he sees the happier he is. We don't really need a bit in his mouth, it's just a bit of company and he'll keep going with them. As I said after Aintree to have a horse like him and be able to rock up to these festivals, Cheltenham, Aintree or Punchestown, with a horse with a chance of winning is very hard to come by. I don't think we'd ever replace him if we stepped him up to go back 'on the track' now.

State Man seals perfect season with Punchestown victory
It's so simple to ride this lad and that's probably why I have such a soft spot for him. You can leave the weighroom, get to the start, make it up as you go along and he'll get you out of trouble. He's not flashy, he does what he has to do and that's probably why he keeps winning because he keeps a little bit in the locker. When you're riding him, you're confident on him and then you just have to keep him up to his work. We were wondering what tactics Jack would use and the game went according to how we thought it would go. He just did what he normally does, pulled it out when he needed to pull it out. Paul said there was a cameraman on the line and he stopped to have a look and prick his ears at him. That's the sort of horse he is, he's just got lots of talent and he keeps doing it which is huge. He's very uncomplicated, he's uncomplicated in his stable, he's an old pet.

Ballyburn secures record-breaking win for Mullins
Dermot pioneered going down to Australia and won the Belmont Stakes, an American Triple Crown race. He’s done superb things, so to be mentioned alongside him is fantastic. We were delighted with the way our fella finished. He's still not mature and he's racing too much throughout the race. Once he learns to settle a bit more and use his power at the end of the race I think he's going to a super horse. We can go either direction with him. Two miles, two-and-a-half and on his pedigree he can go out to three miles. I was just chatting to his point-to-point rider and he said he's a fabulous jumper of a fence so we have all that to put into the mix and see what direction we got in the future. A few of ours ran a bit flat earlier in the day and we were wondering would this fella do the same but he didn't. Good horses just dig deep and they do it.

O'Connor doubles up on Brassil's bumper winner
We always thought he was a nice horse, it just took him quite a bit of time to mature,. I had been gearing him towards maybe a summer campaign but he's done a piece of work with Fastorslow in the last month, maybe once or twice, and we were very pleased with what we could see. . We won this two-and-a-quarter mile bumper with Longhouse Poet before so I said we'd let him take his chance in it and we got him here in nice shape. . We'll give him a little break now and have him back for Galway. . He's had a run in a hurdle race, the Christmas before last, and then was second in Galway. There were a lot of winners came out of that bumper, it was quite a good race on the day and we were happy with him then. . He takes a bit of time between races but maybe as he gets older it might come easier to him.
