The Stewards fined John W. Nicholson, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Annual Flavour, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Annual Flavour in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90

The Stewards interviewed Mr F. Maguire, rider of Jelona, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr F. Maguire was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr F. Maguire for 2 racedays

The Stewards interviewed Miss P. Elvin, rider of Snegurochka, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss P. Elvin was in breach of R10(3)(i) by using her whip without allowing her mount at least three strides to respond. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Miss P. Elvin for 1 raceday and also instructed her to attend R.A.C.E for 1 days tuition on the correct use of the whip
