Following the race, Mr Alex Ferguson reported that Sausalito Sunrise (IRE), which started off favourite and finished last of the four runners, ran flat; the Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Mr John Smith-Maxwell reported that his saddle slipped on Silvergrove (GB), placed second.
