we took a gamble over seven furlongs but it paid off; she wants a mile now and definitely a mile-and-a-quarter next year. She’ll be a nice filly and is after blooming in the last few months. She has really come to herself and has a beautiful coat on her today. She’s a typical Casamento and will make a nicer three-year-old. There wouldn’t be much for her now and she’s done her job now as a two-year-old. We’ll treat her with a bit of respect.

C.J. McGovern, rider of Cosmic Cupid, trained by Anthony Mulholland, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount sat in stalls and dwelt badly. The Stewards interviewed C.P. Hoban, rider of Time Constraints (USA), concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule 211 by failing to ride in a straight line from his draw position and imposed a fine of ?150.
