The Equine Welfare Integrity Officer reported that Scenesetter (IRE), trained by Marco Botti had not arrived prior to the 45-minute deadline in order to have the filly’s identity verified.

The trainer’s representative and the Equine Welfare Integrity Officer were interviewed.

The representative’s explanation that they had been delayed in traffic was noted and his attention was drawn to the requirement for Newmarket trained horses who have dispensation to arrive at least 45-minutes prior to the advertised time of the race in order that they can be identified.

Permission was given for Pushmi Pullyu (IRE) to go early to post.

The performance of Cape Cyclone (IRE), which finished sixth of eight, was considered.

Stuart Williams explained that the filly boiled over in the preliminaries and was keen in the early stages of the race.

Following the race, Tim Clark reported that Pushmi Pullyu (IRE), placed eighth, hung right and Jane Chapple-Hyam’s representative reported that the filly was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good to Firm on this occasion, and would prefer an easier surface.
