Calder Prince (IRE), trained by Tom Dascombe, was late in the Parade Ring due to the trainer's representative having difficulty fitting the tongue tie.

An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference in this race.

In the first incident, inside the final furlong, Calder Prince (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jane Elliott, interfered with Fuente (GB), placed second, ridden by Joe Fanning.

Elliott was suspended for 2 days for careless riding for allowing her mount to drift right-handed without sufficient and timely correction, causing Fuente (GB) to be taken off its intended line for a number of strides and giving the gelding a bump.

The placings were considered for the second incident on the run to the line when Fuente (GB), placed second, interfered with Calder Prince (IRE), placed third.

The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Fuente (GB) as the gelding, having already been taken off its intended line, had rallied and passed Calder Prince (IRE) and always appeared to be holding the second placed horse finishing a neck in front.

Fanning was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift left-handed taking Calder Prince marginally off its intended line.

Following the race, Jane Elliott reported that Calder Prince (IRE), placed third, hung right-handed in the straight.
