< Road To Respect confirmed himself a chaser of considerable potential with a determined triumph in the Irish Daily Star Chase at Punchestown.

A Cheltenham Festival winner and the chief beneficiary of Yorkhill's wayward tendencies in the Ryanair Gold Cup, Noel Meade's charge had to prove his stamina for in excess of three miles, with Kilcarry Bridge s searching gallop making it an even stiffer test.

Kilcarry Bridge was still at the head of affairs heading to the last, but Road To Respect (7-2) eventually wore him down and prevailed by a length and a half.< Death Duty s victory in the Buck House Novice Chase was the highlight of a remarkable six winners for trainer Gordon Elliott.

Keen to make use of the 4-9 favourite's stamina, Davy Russell sent him to the front shortly after halfway and although Woodland Opera tried to serve it up to him, Death Duty had too many guns and came home 11 lengths to the good over Tout Est Permis < Samcro did all that was expected of him on his jumping bow in the Buy Your 2018 Annual Badge Maiden Hurdle.

The Elliott-trained 1-5 favourite cantered into the lead at the top of the straight and Jack Kennedy had him on a tight rein, yet he strolled 15 lengths away from Mind's Eye

Norman Williamson made a triumphant return to the saddle in the John Shortt Legends Challenge Race on 13-8 favourite Pallasator.

Making his first appearance for Elliott, the ex-Sir Mark Prescott inmate tanked through the race until bursting clear a furlong out and he was eight and a half lengths too good for stablemate Tiger Roll.

Elliott was at it again when Ben Dundee made a successful start for the yard in the Punchestown November Festival Handicap Hurdle as the 13-8 favourite, while his stablemate King's Song (3-1 favourite) took the Ingoldsby (Q.R.) Handicap Chase before 11-8 favourite Felix Desjy ran away with the Punchestown For Events Flat Race.

The Meade-trained Lex Talionis (12-1) fought hard to get up in the Go Racing In Kildare Handicap Hurdle.
