Review navan 28th May
< Hurricane Havoc made the most of a drop in class and a step up in trip to take the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race at Navan.
Unplaced at Group Three level on her two starts this season, the Jim Bolger-trained filly was settled in last of four by Kevin Manning as favourite Last Crusade took them along.
The 6-1 shot challenged for the lead along with Creekside and got the better of a final-furlong duel to win by three-quarters of a length, completing a double for the yard.
Earlier, Rory Cleary found a nice gap on the rail on Bolger's File And Paint (8-1) and pushed her through it to win the Racing Again June 10th Handicap by a length.< Crimson Sunrise (11-2) had plenty to do at the furlong pole in the Lynn Lodge Stud EBF Median Auction Maiden, but she made remorseless progress under Pat Smullen and grabbed the verdict on the line.< Rockview Diamond looked to have the race sewn up when he stretched into a clear lead, but he could not hold off Dermot Weld's filly, losing by a short head.
The Charles O'Brien-trained Laughing was sent off the 9-4 favourite for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, her first run on turf, and won in good style.
Always prominent, she was sent to the front heading to the last furlong by Declan McDonogh and held the final flourish of newcomer One Spirit by a neck.
Willie McCreery's Geraldines Lass (4-1 joint-favourite) made short work of the opposition on her drop back to five furlongs in the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap.
Settled in midfield by Ricky Doyle, she was brought up to challenge late on and swept past the leaders to score by two lengths.
Ger Lyons' Buccaneer Bob (7-2) passed virtually the entire field in the final furlong to take the AES Handicap by a neck under Johnny Murtagh.
