< Dedigout added another big prize to his collection when he took the Ladbrokes Ireland Boyne Hurdle at Navan after a dramatic conclusion to the Grade Two contest.
Bryan Cooper was always travelling well on the Tony Martin-trained nine-year-old and took charge after jumping the third-last, but Briar Hill was brought with a dangerous challenge by Ruby Walsh and had just hit top gear when he fell at the last.
That allowed Dedigout to maintain his advantage without being troubled, and the 6-4 favourite comfortably held Zaidpour to win by two and a half lengths.
There was another Grade Two victory for Cooper in the Gigginstown House Stud colours when Cheltenham Festival winner Very Wood (13-2), pulled up on his last two starts, bounced back to form in the Ten Up Novice Chase.
Always up with the pace, the Noel Meade-trained six-year-old led two out and dismissed favourite Noble Emperor to score by four and a quarter lengths, with the rest well beaten.
The owners completed a treble with a one-two in the closing Flower Hill INH Flat Race when Nina Carberry rescued a lost cause as she drove Gordon Elliott's 4-1 chance Cogryhill past favourite Arkwrisht late on to win by two and a half lengths.
Matthew Smith's Rawnaq sprung a surprise as the 25-1 outsider in the other Grade Two, the Flyingbolt Novice Chase, fighting back under Andrew Lynch after being collared by the odds-on Gilgamboa going to the last and winning by a length and three-quarters.
Lynch was completing a double after Mike McCann (15-8) ended Michael O'Hare's 19-month drought when he eased to the front approaching two out and kept on well to win the Charlie Lowry Memorial Maiden Hurdle by four and a half lengths.
The Eddie Cawley-trained Forever Gold (9-2 favourite) destroyed the opposition in the Dunsany Handicap Hurdle, storming clear between the last two flights under Davy Russell and passing the post 11 lengths clear of market rival I Shot The Sheriff
