Punters endured a rough evening at Naas with a string of long-priced winners sending the bookmakers home happy.

The 50-1 success of Allegra Tak in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden proved the heaviest blow, although trainer Harry Rogers was delighted to score his first winner of the season.

Lyons said: "We've a nice bunch of two-year-olds. We've given them plenty of time and they are showing on the track what they show us at home and they are improving all of the time.

"We will probably step him up to a winner's race next."

Lyons made it a double as Kinetic Quest edged out favourite Final Approach (6-1) in the Brophy Farrell Real Estate Alliance Handicap in the hands of Emmet McNamara.

Lyons added: "He won twice as a two-year-old and the handicapper had a good hold of him after that.

"Now that he's shown he gets a mile and two furlongs, it would be nice to see some of the jump lads taking an interest in him."< Dotada added to punters' woes as she obliged at odds of 16-1 in the Susan Hill & Val Bond Birthday Handicap for trainer Peter Casey and his jockey son Oliver.

Casey snr said: "The ground was too soft for him at Tipperary the last day. He wants the ground like a rock and he needs to go on a straight track."< Rebel Aclaim proved a popular choice in the Michael Higgins & Co. Handicap and obliged at odds of 4-1.
