The seven-year-old finally got the measure of his 11-2 joint-favourite, but coming to the last 2006 Cheltenham Champion Bumper winner Hairy Molly had joined issue and looked to have taken the upper hand.
But he met it all wrong, leaving Head Waiter to come home eight lengths clear of Decoy Daddy.

McCreery said: "I'm delighted with that, Ger said he was a decent horse."
Alpine Glade (12-1) came from last to first to take the Lakehotel.com Handicap Hurdle in great style.
McCreery added: "I'd love to get a bit of black type for her, we'll go back on the Flat on anything from a mile to a mile and six.
