< Busted Tycoon rewrote the history books when she became what is thought to be the first horse to win three times at the same Galway Festival when landing the Vision Express EBF Mares Handicap Hurdle.
A winner on the level on Tuesday and on Saturday, the Tony Martin-trained filly had also won on her last three attempts over jumps and this time had the benefit of master jockey Ruby Walsh in the plate.
The 11-10 favourite had a fight on her hands as she was produced to challenge going to the last, which she did not jump fluently, but she had enough in the locker to collar Theonewiththeleg close home to score by half a length.
That was eight winners in the week for Martin, and Dermot Weld notched his 11th when Notable Graduate (evens favourite) caught runaway leader The Black Russian in the Trappers Inn Maiden Hurdle, battling away under Derek O'Connor to win by a length and three-quarters.< Ballyfinboy pulled out of a beginners chase on Thursday because of the testing conditions, made full use of his light weight as he landed the feature race, the Lord Hemphill Memorial Handicap Chase.
Jimmy Finn's seven-year-old didn't seem to be travelling as he headed to the final two fences with plenty in front of him, but the 9-2 shot picked up really well for Eddie O'Connell after jumping the last and ran on strongly to beat Darenjan by eight and a half lengths.
Henry de Bromhead's 15-8 favourite Darwins Fox a good second on the level on Wednesday, attacked on the home bend in the hands of Andrew Lynch to get the better of market rival Nearest The Pin by seven lengths in the Easy-Fix Beginners Chase.
Derek Fox produced Noel Kelly's 16-1 shot Glenconkeyne with a late charge to snatch the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle by half a length from Green Thirty Two
