Review curragh 25th Jun
< Seeharn is set to tackle the Moyglare Stud Stakes following her impressive victory in the Ballygallon Stud Stakes at the Curragh.
Representing trainer Kevin Prendergast and jockey Declan McDonogh, Seeharn was sent off a 3-1 chance following victory at the track on her racecourse bow earlier in the month.
The Pivotal filly travelled sweetly throughout before unleashing her challenge over a furlong out and she easily accounted for the fast-finishing Gatamalata by a length, with 9-4 favourite Moonlit Garden back in third.
"She's a nice filly. She won't run again until the Moyglare. We'll give her a little break and I think she'll be a good contender," said Prendergast.
"She hates the ground, being by Pivotal. That's why she didn't win by four lengths.
"Hopefully it gets soft (for the Moyglare). If it does there'll be no danger!"< Bob Le Beau (14-1) emerged on top in a three-way battle for the Ladbrokes.com Handicap.
Shane Foley launched his challenge inside the final furlong and just got up to shade it by a head from Ghetto Gospel with the same distance back to Musical Rain in third.
"I think we need to go further. He was flying at the end and I didn't think he'd get out," said winning trainer Jessica Harrington.
"He's tough. He'll stay a mile and a half but there were no races for him this weekend.
"I suppose we might go to Galway with him now."
Martin Harley steered 10-1 shot Spelterini to a comfortable two-length success in the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Derby.
"He's going to the July Sales and will make a nice jumper. He's a very good looking horse," said trainer Jim Bolger.< Wade Giles (14-1) made a winning racecourse bow for trainer Ger Lyons and jockey Keagan Latham in the opening Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital Maiden.
Lyons said: "He's a lovely horse and I pulled him out here last time because of the fast ground. (That's) not to say he wouldn't have handled it, but I wanted to give him a nice introduction.
"This lad has a big future hopefully."
