Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen landed a valuable double at Cork on Tuesday evening.
The potent trainer and jockey combination took the Group Three Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Give Thanks Stakes for the second year running, this time with Zannda who edged out fellow 11-4 co-favourite Altesse in a thriller.
The latter raced into the lead after taking it up from pace-setting On A Pedestal turning for home, but the Zannda came with a late surge and the pair did battle right up to the line.
The champion jockey was at his brilliant best to get his mount home by a head.
Weld and Smullen successfully teamed up with Eshera in the Platinum Stakes earlier on the card.

David Marnane's filly made all at Naas on Monday and was soon blazing a trail again, but she couldn't deny the strong finish of Leigh Roche's mount who had to work hard to get a length in front at the line.< Only Mine landed the odds with ease in the opening Stallion Farms E.B.F. Maiden.
Sent off a red-hot 2-5 favourite following a good second in a Curragh Group Three, Joe Murphy's filly was bounced straight out in front and little changed thereafter.< Shoellen and Diamond Fields tried to ask questions late on but Pat Smullen's never looked in any danger and cruised home a length and a half clear of the latter.< Barbeque (5-1) came with a late rattle to open his account in the Follow Us On Twitter Handicap.
Tommy Stack's five-year-old had threatened to get off the mark in recent starts and picked up well inside the final f
