Following the death of his mother Jacqueline during the week, Charles O'Brien saddled a poignant winner when his Great Wide Open came home in front under Fran Berry in the Bet & Watch At Titanbet.co.uk Handicap at Dundalk.
After the well-backed 11/4 favourite Great Wide Open had gotten home by a length in this seven furlong event, from Mr Right (didn't get the run of the race) Berry said: "He's been a bit disappointing on the all-weather but it seemed to suit him out in front. Hopefully he can win another one of two."
On his first start since December, Great Wide Open made all for his victory here.
Berry (12 wins) is now two ahead of Colin Keane and Wayne Lordan in the Winter Series at the track which ends tonight.
