Eziyra makes plenty of appeal for Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen in the Colm Quinn BMW European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden at Galway on Tuesday evening.
The Teofilo filly holds entries up to Group One level in the Moyglare Stud Stakes and made a pleasing debut when runner-up at 10-1 to odds-on-favourite Sea Of Grace in Tipperary.
Sea Of Grace is well regarded by John Oxx, so to run her to within a length looks solid form. Plenty of improvement can be expected.
Perennial Ballybrit champion Weld saddles Sikandarabad for the Caulfield Industrial European Breeders Fund Maiden and he ought to go close in the first-time visor.
He has not been seen since finishing second to Painted Cliffs in a maiden at Leopardstown in June last year. Painted Cliffs subsequently won last season's Group Two Railway Stakes to give depth to the form. Malinka is likely to be popular for the Rosewell House trainer when contesting the Caulfield Industrial Handicap.
On her second start, she won well in Limerick, albeit over a much longer trip than this seven furlongs. An opening mark of 76 does not appear harsh and she has a crucial low draw. Oathkeeper could represent a touch of value in the Colm Quinn BMW Novice Hurdle. The six-year-old easily won his maiden in Killarney and is going the right way after two bumper victories. Winter Lion disappointed in Killarney when going for his hat-trick but can make more of an impression on the Caulfieldindustrial.com Handicap. He has previous winning form at Ballybrit.
